Cyd Zeigler

Cyd Zeigler is co-founder of, the world's leading gay-sports publication. Previously, he was the associate editor of the New York Blade and sports editor for Genre magazine. He is a regular contributor on CBS Sports radio and has made appearances on ESPN and in Sports Illustrated, The New York Times and other publications. In 2010 he was inducted as an inaugural member of the National Gay Flag Football Hall of Fame. He also blogs separately on politics, entertainment and Los Angeles, where he lives with his partner, Dan Pinar.

David Hurd

David Hurd came to Des Moines in 1954 planning to start a furniture making business and took a job at Principal Financial Group to earn some money for the venture. He didn’t leave the company for 40 years. Both during his years at Principal and after he retired, David Hurd has been committed to making Des Moines a better community, providing leadership for many efforts.
