The Eychaner Foundation invests in distinguished minority students through Iowa's Matthew Shepard Scholarship Program and the Howard and Mildred Eychaner Minority Scholarship.

To date, the foundation has committed over $1,000,000 in scholarships honoring LGBT students in Iowa and minority students in DeKalb, Illinois.
